BangBoomCrash was created by, is written by, filmed by, acted by, produced by and often cuddled by Stefan Hartman and Mike Albright from York, PA.
We are just 2 friends trying our best to make people laugh. Sometime we succeed, sometimes we fail, but we have fun none-the-less in the process. We often include our friends in our skits and every now and then, you’ll hear our wives voices in them.
We received a sorta-kinda big break when Jake and Amir from CollegeHumor.com held their “Write an Episode of Jake and Amir Contest!” on May 3rd, 2010. Mike and I entered our script titled “Crabs” and won on May 31st, 2010. You can check out “Crabs” by clicking here.
Shortly after, Mike and Stefan were interviewed for the York, Pennsylvania local newspaper, The York Daily Record. This was BangBoomCrash’s first official interview. It was released on August 2nd, 2010. Although the article has been taken down from the website, you can read about our reactions to the article here.
After making a few more skits, we went on a short hiatus. Reason for the hiatus was Mike realized he did not want to act in the skits anymore. Instead, he wanted to just be a writer behind the scenes. So Stefan searched and searched for someone who would want to fill in Mike’s acting shoes and he found high school friend, Dan Schleig.
Dan was righteous enough to lend a hand in a few skits including Fire Alarms, Headache, Blah Blah, Dynamic Rage and Zach’s Skate Videos. However Dan lives a good 30 – 40 minutes away from Stefan so scheduling time to film was hassle. This led Stefan into contacting old school chum Shea Holtzman.
Shea is a comedian at heart while maintaining a Man’s-Man career and lifestyle. Shea joined the project and really injected life back into it. He has helped write skits and plans to act in many of them.
