Welcome back! POW #4 is now freshly stocked on the BangBoomCrash shelves – Here’s some things that sound true but aren’t…or are they?

The 1986 film ‘Short Circuit’ is actually a parody of former President Herbert Hoover’s life, originally titled The Greatest President Who Ever Lived.

The Golden Girls was the first American television show to be completely written, edited, filmed and directed by a computer.

The beloved 1990′s ABC Friday night sitcom block entitled ‘TGIF’ was first the idea of Adolf Hitler in 1934. However, he was never able to get it up and running due to fact that he could not come up with a witty enough name for the show that would later be called ‘Step by Step’.

Alf was originally written to be obsessed with eating sandwiches instead of cats, but the writers had a hard time coming up with different ways for him to not be able to get a sandwich.
(Extra Trivia: 72 cats were used per episode of Alf)

Family Matters’ Carl Winslow was originally cast to be played by James Earl Jones who quit upon meeting Jaleel White out of character.

The Goonies was written by rapper DMX and was based on his early childhood in rural Idaho. It’s considered to be the greatest autobiography by a modern rapper and is solely responsible for the East Coast vs West Coast rap wars of the 1990′s.

Richard Karn (Al Borland, of Home Improvement) designed the logo for the fast food chain Sonic. It is thought to be his interpretation of the East Coast vs West Coast rap wars of the 1990′s.

The Golden Girls still stands up as one of the best scripts ever written.

    I love Richard Karn too.
